Qualifications
Previous 2 yrs experience as an entertainer.
Willing to work as part of a team to reach collective goals.
Passion for sports and connecting with audiences.
Positive attitude with a willingness to lead when necessary.
Ability to create listener motivation and loyalty within the stated demographic.
Willingness to learn new tools and how they can help content, distribution or sales.
Good conversationalist, well-read, knowledgeable dealing with current affairs in sports;
Ability and willingness to be coached by Director of Content and Distribution or Consultant
Understanding of social media for promotions including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
Ability to read, hear and speak clearly and follow both oral and written direction.
Ability to think spontaneously and ad lib while on air and at appearances in a coherent manner in situations that can change quickly.
Ability to write and create commercial production, voiceovers and imaging as needed.
Possess thorough knowledge and understanding of FCC rules and regulations which pertain to announcers, particularly but not limited to Sections 315, 217 and 508.
Willing to work in the office or on location.

Job Overview
This position creates and performs live and recorded broadcasts that are entertaining and informative, that project the Company's desired on-air image, and that achieve maximum audience acceptance and ratings. The Show Host works closely with the Director of Content and Distribution and Sales teams to grow revenue and on-air and digital audience.

Job Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver live and recorded program content for on the air and digital platforms in an entertaining and professional manner in a style consistent with the appropriate station format.
Work closely with producers to prepare and create the best show possible. Connect with listeners by entertaining, and with dynamic or personality-driven conversation. Interviews guests and other famous or public personalities as well as moderating panels or discussion shows. Perform live reads or impromptu statements to identify the brand, announce breaks, etc.
Preparation of social media activities on behalf of the station and show; contribute to video content for online distribution and various digital media platforms.
Ensures that contests and promotions are conducted in compliance with FCC regulations, as well as federal and state laws.
Follow and enforces FCC regulations, station and company polices, including implementing station's/state's EAS procedures.
Work with staff (producers, social media and other teammates) to make sure best content reaches as many people as possible.
Work with Sales Staff to attract sponsors, deliver value to clients, and be available for other details when necessary.
Promote the Company and clients of the Company by planning and attending in-person appearances such as community events, including hosting and assisting at charity functions and remote broadcasts.
Maintain positive relationships with national & local community.
Perform some technical functions, including but not limited to remote recording equipment.
Record assigned commercial, promotion or public service announcements in a professional manner.
Work seamlessly with other departments Production, Traffic, Business -- when applicable.
Build working relationships customers, vendors and the general public.
Act in a professional manner when representing each station.
Attends and participates in meetings as required.
Reports to work on time and works established schedule/hours. Ability to work other hours or alternate schedules as needed, as assigned or required.
Makes public appearances.
Complete other duties as requested and needed.
