Duncan Laurence is a Dutch singer-songwriter, born April 11, 1994.
He started writing songs when he became a teenager and during the next several years, he played in a number of bands. At age 20, he participated in Holland's The Voice competition, making it to the semi-finals, where he was eliminated. In 2019, he was selected to represent the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest, where he performed his own composition, "Arcade" and became that year's winner.
In October 2019, Laurence signed with Capitol Records and released a followup single, "Love Don't Hate It." His debut EP was released in May 2020, and his debut album, Small Town Boy, was released that November.
In the meantime, "Arcade" became a global, viral sensation on TikTok, resulting in millions of streams across various platforms.
