Metro Boomin

Metro Boomin is the moniker used by St. Louis born, producer/record exec Leland Tyler Wayne. He developed a love for music and making beats as a teen. His mother encouraged his music ambitions, taking him from St. Louis to Atlanta, where he would collaborate with other artists.
By the age of 23, he had created a string of smashes for the likes of Drake, Kanye West, The Weeknd, Future, Nicki Minaj, and many others. He served as executive producer for Drake & Future’s platinum-certified 2015 collaboration What A Time To Be Alive, in addition to producing the triple-platinum “Jumpman.”
In 2016, he won the BET Hip Hop Award for “Best Producer of the Year” and joined forces with 21 Savage for the joint project Savage Mode.
In 2017, he launched his label Boominati Worldwide through the Universal Music Group. That year, he produced 5 Top 10 records on the Hot 100 Chart, including Post Malone’s triple-platinum smash “Congratulations” [feat. Quavo], Migos’s platinum “Bad and Boujee” [feat. Lil Uzi Vert], Future’s platinum “Mask Off,” Kodak Black’s platinum “Tunnel Vision” and Big Sean’s platinum “Bounce Back.”
His debut studio album, Not All Heroes Wear Capes, arrived in November 2018, debuting at #1. In 2022, he released his most recent album, Heroes & Villains. Guests on the set include John Legend, Future and Chris Brown. Two other guest vocalists, The Weeknd and 21 Savage, appear on the current single "Creepin'". Metro Boomin is also working on music for the upcoming Spider-Man film, Across The Spider-Verse.
