Bruce Springsteen

A new Bruce Springsteen solo album could be in the pipeline according to E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt. Van Zandt believes the singer could release the follow-up to his last solo effort, 2006's 'We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions,' before reconvening the E Street Band.
Van Zandt said, "You know Bruce, he's always got an album in his pocket, he's always writing something. I don't know this for a fact, but I expect him to possibly put something out that's more of a solo nature, before we get back together. Only because he's just so prolific, still, after all these years."
The guitarist concluded, "He's still just a terrific songwriter and writes all the time. I would expect him starting to have a backlog of songs, just in terms of the time that has passed."
Springsteen's last release was 'The Promise,' which featured previously unheard material taken from sessions for 1978's 'Darkness on the Edge of Town' album.
