Smash Mouth
Sep 3, 2012
After being gone for 6 years, Smash Mouth finally returns with a new album entitled Magic from 429 Records. It will be available September 4th. The album is produced by Mike Krompass who has previously worked with Nelly Furtado and David Archuleta. The band consists of original members Steve Harwell (vocals), Paul Delisle (Bass) and Mike Klooster (keyboards). Rookie players this time around are Randy Cooke (drums) and Mike Krompass (guitar). The band has 10 million albums sold worldwide, well-known summer anthems like "Walking On The Sun", "Can't Get Enough Of You Baby" and "All Star" are among their greatest hits.
Two notable promotions have been set up for this week to whet the appetite for the release. Grammy.com will host an exclusive "First Listen" of the track "Flippin' Out" beginning last week on August 28th and the Huffington Post will offer a free exclusive download of the remix of the first single "Magic" (a bonus track unavailable anywhere else). The band is surely headed for another monster radio smash with the single "Magic" as it is headed for the Top 20 on the mainstream AC Radio Mediabase Chart. It is already #23 on the Billboard AC Chart.
Smash Mouth will spend the rest of 2012 touring behind the new project as well as promoting the release of their rock and roll cookbook-"RECIPES FROM THE ROAD." It features their favorite recipes from restaurants they have visited on the road. It will be released on the same day as their album.
