Newcomer, British musician, John Newman, released his first single, "Love Me Again" back on May 17th. The song was written by Newman and Steve Booker and it is from his debut studio album entitled Tribute out later next year. With sweeping orchestral strings, '80s house piano and swaggy horns, the song is a truly unforgettable anthem, bolstered by Newman's stunning vocal delivery. His EP Love Me Again via Republic Records came out on October 15th. "Love Me Again" peaked at number one on the UK Singles Chart in July and it was also a Top 10 hit in more than 10 countries including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Norway, New Zealand and Switzerland. It has also featured on the soundtrack of the popular videogame FIFA 14.
In an interview with Digital Spy, Newman was asked if he sensed that the song had something special about it in the studio. He said, "Yeah. The guy I wrote it with, we turned around and had massive grins on our faces thinking, 'There's something good here. But you just never know how good it is, you know?".
