"You Ruin Me" is the latest song released by Australian duo The Veronicas. It is on their self-titled third studio album via Red Music. It was produced by DNA and it is their first musical release since "Lolita" in 2012. "You Ruin Me' was co-written by Anthony Egizii and David Musumeci along with The Veronicas' twins Lisa Origliasso and Jessica Origliasso. The track has a powerful melody with lyrics about heartbreak. They sing with full emotion and give you, the listener, a sense of comfort.
"The challenging and inspiring aspects of creating this record, have allowed us the life experience and the creative freedom, to pave a path of our very own. It's the greatest feeling knowing that once this album is heard, listeners will have experienced the missing pieces of Lisa and I from these past few years, to today. We are ready for our stories to be heard". Veronicas member, Jessica Origliasso explains.
The Veronicas formed in 1999 by identical twin sisters Lisa Origliasso and Jessica Origliasso. In 2005 they released their debut studio album, titled The Secret Life of... which peaked at No. 2 on the Australian charts and gained an Australian ARIA certification of 4x platinum for 280,000+ sales. There were five singles on this collection, led by "4ever", three of which were top ten singles in Australia. In 2007, the duo released their second studio album, Hook Me Up, which also peaked at No. 2 on the Australian charts and earned an Australian ARIA certification of 2x platinum for 140,000+ sales. The album's title track, "Hook Me Up", was The Veronicas' first No. 1 single in Australia while "Untouched" was an international top ten hit.
In support of their forthcoming release, The Veronicas will be touring the US in April and beyond.
