"Counting On Love" is the singer-songwriter, Matt McAndrew's latest single released via Republic Records. The track merges a stomping beat with robust bluesy guitars and the singer's instantly recognizable vocals. It's an appropriately bombastic follow-up to his first single, "Wasted Love," which became "The biggest single in the history of The Voice" upon release.
After graduating from Philadelphia's University of the Arts, Matt McAndrew recorded his independent debut View of the Pines and it eventually peaked at #13 on iTunes Top Pop Albums Chart. Scouted by NBC's The Voice for the 2014 season, he joined "Team Adam" and finished in second place. During the show, his cover of Hozier's "Take Me To Church" soared to #2 on iTunes Top Alternative Singles Chart, and his Complete Season 7 Collection landed at #3 on the Top Alternative Albums Chart. On top of achieving the "highest first-day sales ever for The Voice," the track also became the "fastest-rising iTunes #1 ever for The Voice." It skyrocketed to #14 on Billboard's Hot 100-the highest position any song from The Voice has occupied. It's still holding strong as last week's sales also surpassed the 20,000-mark.
McAndrew returned to The Voice recently in order to debut his new single "Counting On Love" with an energetic and engaging performance.
