The 23-year-old British singer, Sam Smith has recently put out the new James Bond theme song, "Writing's On The Wall". Written by Smith and his frequent collaborator Jimmy Napes, it will be on the film's "Spectre" soundtrack. Smith is the first British male solo artist to sing the Bond theme in 50 years.
"This is one of the highlights of my career. I am honored to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song," Smith said in a statement. "I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it."
Sam Smith first rose to fame in 2012 when he was featured on Disclosure's breakthrough single "Latch". Since then, he has gone on to release a hit debut album, "In The Lonely Hour" via Capitol Records and win four Grammys. More recently, at the 2015 Brit Awards, he won the awards for British Breakthrough Act and Global Success.
