In any of the major professional sports, there's the free agent season where some of the top players are offered tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars by a prospective team. Normally, the best of the best free agent picks a contending team.
Why? He wants to win a championship ring and a contending team is more likely to do so ... and, well, there's the money, of course.
As the "manager" of your "team," don't you, too? To get the ring (and the money) you need to:
- Recruit and retain the best.
- Don't settle for a "B" team when "A" is available.
- Create a winning environment full of participation, expectations and rewards
- Don't settle. For anything.
- Work harder.
- Work smarter.
I don't mean to read like a self-help book or same business book drivvel, but it's about basics. Think about it. Be better. We're done. Sadly, "better" in most of our industry is still not great. Just imagine if you got really great. WOW!
