Today is Martin Luther King Day -- and hopefully a day your station is observing for your employees and listeners.
It's also a day where I know our operations, and hopefully yours, are promoting a day of volunteerism. Alright, it might be too late to do something today (but not really), but consider promoting a day of volunteerism on President's Day in February. Most of us have it off and could take the day to give back a little.
Take the lead and you do it, too. Once you get bitten by this bug, you will wonder why you didn't do something like this before. Hardly a huge a commitment, but it's something ... and you will be amazed at the impact you and your station can have on your community!
