I have a spreadsheet that I give all of my AEs that automatically calculates what it will take for them to reach our goals ... and their financial goals.
They simply enter information into a few fields like average order size, closing ration, number of active accounts, etc. You set it up by laying in commission rates into specific fields and it will tell you (and them), to the dollar, how many calls they will have to make to "get there." It will even highlight the impact of one or two more direct sales, etc.
