CBS RADIO AC WDOK (SOFT ROCK 102.1)/CLEVELAND, presently in CHRISTMAS music mode as "CHRISTMAS 102.1," raised donations and awareness for UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS RAINBOW BABIES AND CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL in CLEVELAND with a 13-hour radiothon broadcast TODAY (12/9). The station's TRAPPER JACK, TERRY MOIR, JIM MCINTYRE, and JOE CRONEUR were live at the hospital all day soliciting donations in the event, which has been an annual campaign since 2002 and has raised over $3 million for the hospital's CHILDREN'S MIRACLE NETWORK program, covering services not covered by insurance.
"Everyone has a RAINBOW Story, whether it 's your family or someone you know. We're so blessed to have such an amazing, nationally recognized Children's Hospital in our backyards," said TRAPPER JACK.
Hospital President MIKE FARRELL said, "CHRISTMAS 102.1 is dedicated to RAINBOW and we appreciate all their time and commitment. Once again we're amazed at how they are able to get the community to step up and be so generous!"
