GREATER MEDIA Talk WTKK (96.9 BOSTON TALKS)/BOSTON's 4th annual FISHER HOUSE Radiothon, hosted by MICHAEL GRAHAM on THURSDAY (12/8), raised over $120,000 for FISHER HOUSE BOSTON, offering temporary housing near hospitals for families of wounded soldiers.
GRAHAM was joined by FISHER HOUSE Chairman/CEO KENNETH FISHER for the broadcast, and Sen. SCOTT BROWN (R-MA), actor ADAM BALDWIN, former Defense Secretary DONALD RUMSFELD, FOX NEWS CHANNEL's BILL O'REILLY, comic LENNY CLARKE, MONTEL WILLIAMS, Gen, RICHARD MYERS, WTKK and WSBK-TV's "PHANTOM GOURMET," syndicated host MICHAEL SMERCONISH, and GREATER MEDIA CEO PETER SMYTH lent their on-air support.
"Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to the more than 1,100 listeners who donated to FISHER HOUSE during our radiothon yesterday," said GRAHAM. "Special thanks to PETER SMYTH, President of GREATER MEDIA, for turning over his radio station to us for the radiothon, GRACE BLAZER, the Program Director at WTKK (and the entire TKK staff); the Great and Powerful TOM for producing the show; and to all our guests. But most of the thanks go to you -- YOU DID IT! And our wounded warriors appreciate it more than you'll ever know."
"I'm proud of WTKK and our company’s bond with FISHER HOUSE," said SMYTH. "I would like to applaud MICHAEL GRAHAM’s endearing commitment to our wounded warriors and salute 96.9 FM’s listeners, who have shown there heartfelt dedication and generosity to FISHER HOUSE for the fourth consecutive year."
