Online music service GROOVESHARK has inked licensing deals with four independent labels. AMERICAN MYTH RECORDINGS, PARTISAN RECORDS, DALY CITY RECORDS, ZODLOUNGE, and FOUNDATION MEDIA have come to agreements with the service, which has been battling lawsuits from UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP over licensing.
"We're thrilled to be working with GROOVESHARK. We've heard nothing but good things and are excited to get our clients' music into their system," said FOUNDATION MEDIA President J.J. JENSEN.
"GROOVESHARK is excited to add labels of this caliber to our growing list of partners," said GROOVESHARK SVP of Music Strategy JACK DEYOUNG. "We're looking forward to introducing their artists to a whole new audience and producing the most cost-effective artist promotion available."
