Condolences to family and friends of music industry veteran JOHN ATTERBERRY, who died MONDAY of wounds received when he was shot while driving in HOLLYWOOD FRIDAY (12/9). ATTERBERRY, 40, was behind the wheel of his car just south of the intersection of Sunset Blvd. and Vine Street when a man police have identified as TYLER BREHM walked into the middle of Vine Street and began to shoot, apparently at random, at passersby before he was killed by police.
The LOS ANGELES TIMES reports that ATTERBERRY began his career in A&R at TABU RECORDS, then, after a stint in the fashion industry, became VP of DEATH ROW RECORDS. He later founded INFUSION MUSIC GROUP, a music publishing company with credits on albums by MICHAEL JACKSON, CHRISTINA AGUILERA, BRANDY, the SPICE GIRLS, and JESSICA SIMPSON, and, after going into residential real estate development, served as Senior Partner and CFO at event promotions company GRIDLOCK GROUP.
