RADIO HEALTH JOURNAL joins the ranks of AMERICA's longest running news programs with its 20th anniversary show on NEW YEAR'S DAY, 2012. The show debuted JANUARY 5, 1992, on 53 stations. TODAY, after 1,041 shows, the program is syndicated weekly to 445 stations.
"Many things in medicine are different today than they were in 1992," said Producer REED PENCE. "We couldn't predict that the subject of our very first program, the struggle over how we pay for health insurance, would still be a huge issue 20 years later. We felt it was fitting for RADIO HEALTH JOURNAL to revisit the subject of our first program for our 20th anniversary show."
Co-hosts of RADIO HEALTH JOURNAL are the same today as they were at its inception. SHEL LUSTIG, NANCY BENSON, and REED PENCE. The program's production director since 2002 has been SEAN WALDRON.
