COX RADO Country KKBQ (93Q)/HOUSTON morning host KEVIN KLINE is running 62 miles a day to raise awareness and funds for the TEXAS CHILDREN'S CANCER CENTER, reports YOURHOUSTON NEWS.COM. KLINE is also President of the Snowdrop Foundation, which raises money for Center year-round.
Starting DECEMBER 26th, KLINE invited listeners and other supporters to join him and run any distance they choose. He has completed many running events over the past six year, all of them to raise money to help the young cancer survivors.
"This is to symbolically show what the children have to go through, through their chemotherapy," KLINE told ABC-TV in HOUSTON. "There is nothing comfortable about this; they actually experience pain. I just experience degrees of discomfort."
