WNVZ PD Tias Schuster Takes OM/PD Post At WFBC, WSPA

ENTERCOM Top 40/Rhythmic WNVZ (Z104)/NORFOLK PD/Digital Content Dir/afternoon talent TIAS SCHUSTER is transferring to ENTERCOM sister Top 40 WFBC (B93.7) and AC WSPA (MAGIC 98.9)/GREENVILLE-SPARTANBURG, SC as OM/PD, replacing CHASE MURPHY who left to become CLEAR CHANNEL/SAN ANTONIO FM OM and PD at Top 40 KXXM (NET NEWS 12/12/11). He begins in mid-FEBRUARY.

SCHUSTER told ALL ACCESS, "It's the chance to go home to where it all started! Since 1997 I've been with ENTERCOM and started as the B93.7 mascot 'BUZZY THE BEE' under (then-PD) ROB WAGMAN, (now APD/MD at CBS Top 40 WXRK/NYC). I worked my way up to APD/MD afternoons, then moved to (sister) Top 40 WKRZ/WILKES BARRE, and now I'm headed home again.

"All of this experience, including my time at Z104 where I learned the true meaning of Hip Hop, and how to wear my pants, hat and make funny finger expressions has gotten me to this point. I will miss everyone in NORFOLK dearly.

"My deepest appreciation to SVP/Programming PAT PAXTON, NORFOLK VP/Market Mgr BENNETT ZIER, and to my new VP/Market Mgr RANDY CABLE, and Regional VP MICHAEL DOYLE for their confidence in me. I will be doing an air shift on B93.7, but not sure of the schedule. One of my favorite parts about returning to B93.7 is working with HAWK & TOM again! Years ago I went out and was their on the street dude for 'TORTURE TUESDAY' ... and now I get to fill out the paperwork for 'TORTURE TUESDAY' ... who knew?"
