Condolences to family and friends of FATIMAH ALI, host of "THE REAL DEAL WITH FATIMAH ALI" on LEVAS Talk WURD-A/PHILADELPHIA, who died , according to a statement from the station.  The letter from Pres./GM SARA LOMAX-REESE said that the station has "very few details" about ALI's passing at this time but plans a tribute show on FRIDAY.

ALI was a bi-monthly op-ed columnist for the PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS, best known for a controversial column in SEPTEMBER 2008 warning of a "full-fledged race and class war" if JOHN MCCAIN were to win and BARACK OBAMA were to lose the 2008 election, before joining WURD in MARCH 20th, 2011.  She previously worked as a news anchor and public affairs host  for crosstown CLEAR CHANNEL Urban AC WDAS-F and Gospel WDAS-A, and served as an anchor for WTOP-A/WASHINGTON in 1982-87.
