FCC Fines Two Alleged Florida Pirates

The FCC has fined MERCIUS DORVILUS $10,000 for operating an unlicensed FM in POMPANO BEACH, FL.  DORVILUS allegedly ran VISION FM on 92.7 FM from a house in POMPANO.

In addition, DURRANT CLARKE has been fined $1,000 for operation of a unlicensed FM on 95.9 FM in MIAMI.  CLARKE said that he allowed another person, "Brother Gary," to use his property, and that CLARKE himself did not operate the station, but the Commission did not excuse him for that reason. The fine was reduced from $10,000 due to CLARKE's inability to pay the larger amount.
