Desmond Dekker Dies

Condolences to family and friends of DESMOND DEKKER, the Jamaican ska and reggae singer who had a worldwide hit in 1969 with "THE ISRAELITES." DEKKER died at his home in SURREY, ENGLAND of an apparent heart attack on THURSDAY at 64. DEKKER is also remembered for his contribution to the soundtrack of "THE HARDER THEY COME," and "007 (SHANTY TOWN)."
