TODAY is the day that CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KFBK-A-F/SACRAMENTO is celebrating its 90th anniversary on the air. The station is offering special programming for the occasion, including PREMIERE NETWORKS' RUSH LIMBAUGH, who hosted at KFBK before becoming a nationally syndicated personality, joining KFBK MORNING NEWS anchors AMY LEWIS and ED CRANE at 8a (PT) and syndicated midday host TOM SULLIVAN appearing on the KFBK Afternoon News with KITTY O'NEAL. In addition, at 11a, the station's staff will open a time capsule left by past employees, and the station will also unveil an "online museum" at its website with audio clips, photos and videos from the station's history.
"Having the privilege of working with the people that keep KFBK a significant and relevant voice in the community is a daily occurrence that has been happening for every GM of the station over the years," said VP/Market Manager JEFF HOLDEN. "The celebration today is recognition and confirmation that the commitment of the employees, past, present and future, is exactly what Sacramentans, at each point in time over the past 90 years, have so welcomingly accepted into their lives. I couldn't' be more proud to be part of such an illustrious and valuable asset to the region and a part of the team that is making history."
"I'm proud and humbled to help lead one of the most enduring brands in media," said OM ALAN EISENSON. "KFBK's amazing legacy of entertainment, information and service to the community, as well as the station's rich history of helping grow local businesses and create jobs through the myriad of marketing opportunities KFBK provides, can't be equaled."
