MOODY RADIO launched the only fully operational Christian Spanish-speaking radio station in CHICAGO TODAY (2/6) on WMBI-A (1110). The station is using the tagline: Compartiendo Esperanza. Siempre Contigo.(Sharing Hope. With You Always.)
“There are approximately two million Hispanics living in CHICAGO and with no Spanish-speaking, Bible-based Christian radio station serving them, we believe this station and its programming will fill a significant need for this community,” said MOODY RADIO VP COLLIN LAMBERT. “We are excited about this initiative and look forward to hearing from listeners how MOODY is ministering to them.”
“Through this effort MOODY is recapturing its original vision for reaching the Hispanic community and expressing a renewed commitment to serve them,” said RADIO MOODY Programming Project Manager ELSA MAZON. “We want to bring hope and encouragement to our Spanish-speaking brothers and sisters and there is no better time than right now.”
In addition to original Spanish-speaking programming, RADIO MOODY CHICAGO will utilize existing MOODY RADIO ministry partners with Spanish-based teaching such as "TURNING POINT WITH DR. DAVID JEREMIAH," "GRACE TO YOU WITH DR. JOHN MacARTHUR," and "INSIGHT FOR LIVING WITH DR. CHUCK SWINDOLL."
Thirteen program ministries that have been staples on WMBI-A are still available on MOODY RADIO Religious Talk WMBI (90.1 FM)/CHICAGO. A list of these programs is available at www.moodyradiochicago.fm.
MOODY RADIO also recently launched a 24/7 Urban Praise Radio format on its 90.1FM HD3 channel. The format is also available online at www.urbanpraiseradio.org.
