PETERSON Top 40 WDJQ (Q-92)/CANTON's six-year morning show veterans PAT DeLUCA and CHARLOTTE DiFRANCO, known as THE DeLUCA MORNING SHOW, have left the building. Terms on a new agreement couldn't be reached.
VP/GM DON PETERSON said, "We at Q92 are deeply disappointed we were unable to come to terms with a very talented team. However, we are committed to putting the best available talent on the station to entertain and interact with our audience and play great music. That is our culture, that is our mission, and that is our vision. We will endeavor to bring the most creative and thought provoking on-air talent we can find in order to fulfill that commitment."
DeLUCA, who started at the station a decade ago as a Board Operator for high school football and basketball games and worked his way to an overnight jock, then evenings and ultimately, morning drive. His co-host CHARLOTTE started at the station in 2004 as a Promotion Director before joining the morning show in 2006.
DeLUCA told ALL ACCESS, "We owe our success to our loyal listeners. That's why our focus has always been on our listeners and the topics that tap into their interest. We have delivered a live, high energy show that connects with people. We are very proud of that success.
"We want to thank the wonderful people we worked with at Q92, our sponsors and our supporters. But most of all, we want to thank our thousands of loyal listeners and fans -- the people who made THE DeLUCA SHOW #1. And we have every confidence that THE DeLUCA SHOW will be on the air again."
