NORTHERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY Triple A WNKU/HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KY is bringing back its Studio 89 series; a weekly radio show featuring up-and-coming talent from around the country performing on the air in front of a live studio audience. The show will air live MONDAY NIGHTS at 7p from FEBRUARY 13th-APRIL 30th.
This year, the series will take place in the state-of-the-art GEORGE AND ELLEN RIEVESCHL DIGITORIUM located in NKU’s GRIFFIN HALL. The DIGITORIUM boasts a 15’ x 25’ digital video wall, VIP opera boxes and theater-style seating.
"We're bringing in talent from as far away as HOUSTON and BROOKLYN," says WNKU Music Director, JOHN MCGUE. "We have a member of the NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME, a local Zydeco mainstay and, being that we're always open to having the occasional living legend, we're even bringing in BILL KIRCHEN to close out the series."
Other artists in the series include HADDEN SAYERS, BUXTON, JOSH EAGLE, JULIAN VELARD, ROBIN LACY & DEZYDECO, THE WESTERN, BARNABY BRIGHT, MATRACA BERG, PETE DRESSMAN & S.U.N. and MAJESTIC MAN.
