The radio account of BARRY BONDS' 715th home run SUNDAY was interrupted as the ball flew out of AT&T PARK when announcer DAVE FLEMMING's mic suddenly cut out.
KNBR-A/SAN FRANCISCO listeners, as well as those on XM SATELLITE RADIO and the GIANTS' network, heard FLEMMING say "the payoff pitch- a swing and a drive deep t..." when the broadcast suddenly went dead except for crowd noise. After a few seconds, GREG PAPA grabbed another headset and finished the call, and the team issued an apology to fans listening to the call on the radio.
