Hall of Fame baseball broadcaster MILO HAMILTON will retire as the radio voice of the HOUSTON ASTROS after the 2012 season, the team will announce at a press conference TODAY (2/15) at MINUTE MAID PARK, according to numerous reports, including the HOUSTON CHRONICLE and MLB.COM.
HAMILTON, 84, has been calling major league baseball for the ST. LOUIS CARDINALS and BROWNS, ATLANTA BRAVES, CHICAGO CUBS (twice) and WHITE SOX, PITTSBURGH PIRATES, and ASTROS, for 59 years. He has been with the ASTROS since 1985 and cut his schedule back to mostly home games in 2006.
