NRB 2012 will feature a public policy debate on “ANATOMY OF HATE: FREE SPEECH IMPLICATIONS" on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21st. The panel will include Executive Dir. of AMERICANS UNITED FOR SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE BARRY LYNN, VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY Professor of Political Science and of Law CAROL SWAIN, Head of SOUTHERN POVERTY LAW CENTER MARK POTOK, and NRB Sr. VP/General Counsel CRAIG PARSHALL. The debate will be moderated by "IN THE MARKET" host JANET PARSHALL.
Carefully defined restrictions on free speech have been a part of American jurisprudence since the founding era. But the contemporary doctrine of hate speech not only burdens free speech but the free exercise of religion as well. Our Public Policy Debate panelists will weigh in on this controversial topic, in what is sure to be a lively and robust discussion," said NRB Pres./CEO Dr. FRANK WRIGHT.
NRB 2012 is scheduled for this weekend in NASHVILLE at the GAYLORD OPRYLAND RESORT & CONVENTION CENTER. The convention will run from FEBRUARY 18th to 21st.
