Dick Purtan's Radiothon Raises Over $1.7 Million

Even though he retires from his on-air gig, DETROIT radio legend DICK PURTAN was proud to announce that the 25th Annual SALVATION ARMY BED AND BREAD CLUB RADIOTHON that took place last FRIDAY -- heard on CUMULUS  Talk 760 WJR-A/DETROIT.

In his blog, PURTAN noted that WJR raised $1,733,977 to feed the hungry and homeless, up over the $1.5 million raised last year. That money will feed 5,000 people a day for the next 365 days.
