In a light day for FCC filings with no new station sales submitted for approval, COCHISE MEDIA LICENSES LLC has applied to the FCC for a Silent STA for KXML/FAIRFIELD, ID while it waits for two other stations to commence operation on new frequencies. KXML is a new station and cannot build the modified facilities it has obtained, with community of license moving from SALMON, ID to FAIRFIELD, until the other stations make their moves.
The sale of noncommercial WNJS-F/BERLIN, WNJB-F/BRIDGETON, WNJN-F/ATLANTIC CITY, WNJM/MANAHAWKIN, and WNJZ/CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE by NEW JERSEY PUBLIC BROADCASTING AUTHORITY to WHYY, INC. for $926,000 plus $612,000 of non-cash consideration has closed. The stations are now simulcasting noncommercial News-Talk WHYY/PHILADELPHIA.
And EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. has closed on the sale of FM translator W229AP/ROTHSCHILD, WI to WRIG, INC. for $27,000.
