ANDREW BREITBART, the influential founder of websites BREITBART.COM, BIGJOURNALISM.COM, BIGGOVERNMENT.COM. and BIGHOLLYWOOD.COM, died early THURSDAY (3/1) of natural causes at UCLA MEDICAL CENTER in LOS ANGELES. He was 43.
Best known as a crusading advocate of conservative causes and for his involvement in the release of the infamous ANTHONY WEINER photo, the ACORN scandal videos, and the controversial release of initially-edited videos that led to the firing of SHIRLEY SHERROD from the Department of Agriculture, BREITBART was a frequent guest on radio talk shows nationwide and guest-hosted at CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KFI-A/LOS ANGELES. He first came to prominence working for THE DRUDGE REPORT and later became a columnist for THE WASHINGTON TIMES.
BREITBART made his final radio appearance on SALEM RADIO NETWORK's HUGH HEWITT show WEDNESDAY afternoon.
