FISHER COMMUNICATIONS is selling its 24 small-market radio stations to CHERRY CREEK RADIO LLC for $33.3 million. FISHER is holding onto its SEATTLE cluster and its TV stations. The small-market radio stations combined earned $12.2 million in revenues in 2005. The company plans to use the money to expand into Spanish-language TV.
The stations being sold include Classic Rock KRKX, Hot AC KYYA (Y-93), Alternative KRZN (THE ZONE 96.3), and Talk KBLG-A/BILLINGS, MT, Rock KMBR, Country KAAR, and Oldies KXTL-A/BUTTE, MT, Classic Rock KQDI-F (Q 106), Hot AC KAAK (K 99), Country KIKF, Active Rock KINX (X107), Adult Standards KXGF-A (CLASSICS 1400), and Talk KQDI-A/GREAT FALLS, MT, Country KGGL (EAGLE 93.3), Classic Rock KZOQ (Z-100), Top 40 KXDR (STAR FM), Oldies KBQQ (Q 106.7), Sports KGRZ-A, and Talk KYLT-A/MISSOULA, MT, and Country KYSN, Rock KZPH (THE ROCK 106.7), AC KAAP (APPLE FM), Hot AC KWWW (KW3), and Spanish KWWX-A (LA SUPER Z)/WENATCHEE, WA.
