The Mikey Show Exits Mornings At KBZT

Morning Show Changes

LINCOLN FINANCIAL MEDIA Alternative KBZT (FM 94/9)/SAN DIEGO morning show THE MIKEY SHOW (a.k.a. MIKEY ESPARZA) has exited. MIKEY joined FM 94/9 two years ago. He previously hosted mornings on crosstown CLEAR CHANNEL Active Rock KIOZ (ROCK 103.5) for seven years.

According to SDRADIO.net, VP/GM RICK JACKSON was on-air at 6a reporting that MIKEY was no longer at the station and that a new FM 94/9 morning show will be formed with input from the listeners.

JACKSON told ALL ACCESS, "The rest of the morning show -- LAUREN OBRIEN, STEVE WOODS and JAY ISBELL - will continue to be a part of mornings at FM 94/9. We may experiment with some additions to that team but I don't have anything firm to offer at this point."
