NORTHEAST BROADCASTING Triple A WXRV/BOSTON midday host LISA GARVEY has exited the station after five years. According to the BOSTON.COM she was removed from the air even before her show was over last FRIDAY (3/9).
"I had just played a tribute to BRAD DELP of the band BOSTON on the [five-year] anniversary of his death," GARVEY told THE GLOBE. "It was uplifting. So I guess that gave me some small comfort in what happened next."
Meanwhile, GM DONALD ST. SAUVEUR told ALL ACCESS that it was time for a change in their ongoing rebranding of the radio station and "that they wished LISA well in her future endeavors."
She has been replace by CAROLYN MORELL, who has a long history in the BOSTON radio with a resume that includes WFNX and WBOS. MORRELL has been a part-time host on the station since last JULY, filling in on holidays, hosting a SUNDAY show and filling in for the now-retired BOB STUART during afternoon drive.
Further, Production Director AJ CROZBY will now focus solely on station production as he vacates afternoon drive, now filled by MATT PHIPPS.
