The auction for the first spot on TOM LEYKIS' new online daily radio show upon the former syndicated host's return to the talk radio wars on APRIL 2nd sold for $1,225. on eBAY.  STITCHER RADIO Chairman NOAH SHANOK won the bidding, reports MEDIABISTRO's FISHBOWLLA.

"The winning bid, in my view, proves what I have always believed," LEYKIS told FISHBOWLLA's RICHARD HORGAN, "which is that the reason that some people say that Internet content cannot be monetized is because they try to sell advertising for new platforms the same way it's sold in so-called 'old media.' What these new platforms really require out-of-the-box thinking and a completely different approach."
