Rick Buckley To Receive Lowry Mays Excellence In Broadcasting Awards At NAB

The late RICK BUCKLEY, former Pres/CEO of BUCKLEY BROADCASTING, will be the recipient of this year’s LOWRY MAYS EXCELLENCE IN BROADCASTING AWARD.  The Award will be presented posthumously during The BROADCASTERS FOUNDATION OF AMERICA Breakfast during the NAB Show on APRIL 18th at the WYNN HOTEL in LAS VEGAS.

BUCKLEY passed away suddenly in JULY 2011 from a brain embolism.  For more than four decades he led the family-owned BUCKLEY BROADCASTING, which includes WOR/NEW YORK. In recognition of his commitment to the charitable mission of the BROADCASTERS FOUNDATION, The RICK BUCKLEY Memorial Fund was established shortly after his passing.

The LOWRY MAYS EXCELLENCE IN BROADCASTING AWARD honors an individual in broadcasting whose work exemplifies innovation, community service, advocacy, and entrepreneurship.   It salutes its namesake LOWRY MAYS and is underwritten by THE CLEAR CHANNEL FOUNDATION and WILEY REIN, LLP.
