Don Ienner And Michelle Anthony Resign From Sony BMG; Rob Stringer Named President

SONY MUSIC LABEL GROUP U.S. Chairman & CEO DON IENNER and Pres. & COO MICHELE ANTHONY have resigned from SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT.
The announcement was made today by SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT CEO ROLF SCHMIDT-HOLTZ, who said in a statement, "It is with regret that today I announce that DON IENNER and MICHELE ANTHONY have decided to resign from SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT. DONNIE and MICHELE have been the bedrock upon which SONY MUSIC’s success has been built over the last 18 years and we are very appreciative of their important contributions during this period."

SCHMIDT-HOLTZ further announced that SONY BMG/U.K. & IRELAND Chairman and CEO ROB STRINGER will rise to the role of Pres. of SONY MUSIC LABEL GROUP, effective SEPTEMBER 1st. Commented SCHMIDT-HOLTZ, to whom STRINGER will report, "I am delighted that ROB has agreed to join us in NEW YORK. ROB has been with SONY MUSIC throughout his 20-year career and now is the perfect time for him to take on this senior role."
From now until SEPTEMBER, the label group will report to SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT COO TIM BOWEN.
