A few weeks after launch (see NET NEWS 5/19), OCONEE RIVER BROADCASTING's WHEL (THE NEW 105-1)/HELEN, GA has discontinued stunting and become GEORGIA 105.1, a music station culling its tunes from a playlist containing "thousands of hit songs from the last five decades."
As previously reported, OCONEE RIVER Pres. KJ ALLEN will serve as the station’s GM, and joining him as PD/managing partner is BENJI KURTZ, who will continue his duties as VP/Operations for RADIO STRATEGIES CONSULTANTS and digital distribution site NewMusicServer.com.
Here's how the station lineup looks:
Mornings -- TODD DEHRING
Middays -- EILEEN KIMBLE
Afternoons -- KJ ALLENThe station is being voiced by ALYSSA YOUNG.
