First Of Two Emmis Special Shareholder Meetings Set For April 2nd

EMMIS COMMUNICATIONS CORP. has informed the SEC in a Schedule 14A filing that its special Shareholder Meeting will take place APRIL 2nd at 11a at its headquarters building.

The meeting will include a vote of shareholders on the proposed 2012 Retention Plan and Trust Agreement and for Preferred Stockholders to elect a director to replace JOSEPH R. SIEGELBAUM, who retired in NOVEMBER.  Attorney MICHELLE BERGMAN has been nominated for SIEGELBAUM's seat by Preferred Stockholder ZAZOVE ASSOCIATES LLC.

A second special meeting will be scheduled to vote on the company's reverse-stock-split proposal.
