Receiver SCOTT SAVAGE is selling former TAMA BROADCASTING station Gospel WFJO (JOY 92.5)/JACKSONVILLE BEACH, FL to ANTHONY MARINATOS and KEN PURCELL's RIVER CITY BROADCASTING, LLC for $1.95 million plus an LMA before closing. The buyer, through sister SEVEN BRIDGES RADIO, LLC, owns Sports WJXL-A (1010 XL)/JACKSONVILLE BEACH, which was once simulcast on WFJO and has now started simulcasting again on the FM signal.
In other filings with the FCC, the MINORITY MEDIA AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS COUNCIL's MMTC BROADCASTING LLC has asked for a Silent STA for KYHN-A/FORT SMITH, AR, a station donated to it by CLEAR CHANNEL. The MMTC told the FCC that the station "was having financial problems at the time" of the donation and that it "does not believe it is economic (sic) to operate KYHN as a singleton and has been trying to find a qualified buyer-LMA partner."
