DA PETERSON Top 40/Mainstream WDJQ (Q92)/CANTON, OH has shuffled its on-air lineup. Chief among the changes is moving midday diva NIKOLINA to mornings, effective MONDAY, MARCH 26th, as well as giving her MD stripes.
"I am so fortunate to do what I love everyday!" NIKOLINA said. "I look forward to being CANTON's #1 morning show!" Joining NIKOLINA will be JEREMIAH WIDMER, who worked at UNIV. of AKRON station WZIP before working on his comedy chops in L.A.
As far as the rest of the lineup goes, PD JOHN STEWART moves from afternoon drive to middays; MO moves his MO Radio Show from evenings to afternoon drive; and P/T weekender ROB MACKENZIE assumes the night shift.
"After an exhaustive nationwide search, we discovered the best talent was already in-house!" STEWART said. "I'm a big proponent of promoting good people from within, and I think it's a win for Q92 and for our listeners."
"I believe our listeners will be pleasantly surprised when they turn on their radio MONDAY morning," station manager DON PETERSON added. "It will be a familiar voice that will greet and entertain them. We have taken proven, successful on-air talent on Q92 and given them the opportunity and challenge to really grow professionally.
