CLEAR CHANNEL CEO BOB PITTMAN told the ASSOCIATED PRESS TUESDAY (3/27) that the company is standing by RUSH LIMBAUGH and that the controversy over the PREMIERE NETWORKS host's comments about student/activist SANDRA FLUKE did not have a major impact on the company.
PITTMAN, saying that the furor last month was "part of the normal day-to-day of Talk radio" and noting LIMBAUGH's apology, said that CUMULUS MEDIA NETWORKS' launch of the MIKE HUCKABEE show against LIMBAUGH "basically says RUSH is the king. RUSH is certainly the leader, and we're delighted to have him."
AP also reported that KOHLER became the latest advertiser to say it is pulling ads from LIMBAUGH's show in the wake of the controversy.
