In other filings with the FCC, WESTERN INSPIRATIONAL BROADCASTERS, INC. is selling FM translator K205ET/BIG PINE, CA to LAWRENCE LEE AMUNDSEN for $5,000.
As part of PAPPAS TELECASTING COMPANIES' bankruptcy case, LEE W. SHUBERT has replaced HARRY J. PAPPAS as Trustee of the Liquidating Trust of the stations, which includes one radio station, Silent KMPH-A/MODESTO, CA. Under the bankruptcy plan, PAPPAS and his wife STELLA would be able to reacquire the stations if a payment was made to COMERICA BANK before MONDAY (3/26), but the "discounted payoff" was not made and, under the bankruptcy plan and liquidating trust, SHUBERT was named as successor trustee. HARRY PAPPAS' stock had previously been exempt from being part of the bankruptcy estate but is now part of the liquidating trust.
The FCC has also given CHRISTIAN HERITAGE BROADCASTING's silent FM translator K252DG/SIOUX FALLS, SD a new lease on life after three years off the air, reports UPPER MIDWEST BROADCASTING, allowing a move to 98.1 FM as K251BH. The station will reactivate as an FM simulcast of BACKYARD BROADCASTING Sports KWSN-A.
WILLIAM G. GARLITZ has closed on the sale of his 50% interest in GAINES COUNTY BROADCASTING, LLC, licensee of Country KIKZ-A and Country KSEM-F/SEMINOLE, TX, to partner KENNETH E. RIPLEY (49%) and GENEVA RIPLEY (1%) for $380,159.49, and has also closed on the sale of his 60% of FORT STOCKTON RADIO CO., INC., licensee of AC KFST-A and Country KFST-F/FORT STOCKTON, TX to KENNETH RIPLEY for $287,877.
GOOD MUSIC, INC. has closed on the sale of Talk KJAA-A/GLOBE, AZ to WILLIAM D. TAYLOR for $60,000.
And BORDERLAND CHRISTIAN BROADCASTING FELLOWSHIP, INC. has closed on the sale of FM translator K204EL/WARROAD, MN to HEARTLAND CHRISTIAN BROADCASTERS, INC. for $1.
Also, RHATTIGAN BROADCASTING (TEXAS), L.P. has closed on the sale of KVOU-A/UVALDE, TX to LA PROMESA FOUNDATION for $240,000 total consideration. JASON JAMES of PATRICK COMMUNICATIONS, LLC served as broker for the deal.
