The FCC has turned its proposed $10,000 fine against MERCIUS DORVILUS for operating an unlicensed FM in POMPANO BEACH, FL into a formal fine after DORVILUS failed to respond to the Commission's notice of apparent liability for forfeiture issued in JANUARY.
DORVILUS allegedly ran VISION FM on 92.7 FM from a house in POMPANO.
$22,000 Fine Proposed Against Tennessee Pirate
The Commission has also proposed a $22,000 fine against ARTHUR LEE YOUNG for operating an unlicensed station at 87.9 FM in COSBY, TN and refusing to allow FCC agents to inspect the facility. YOUNG turned over his equipment after an inspection in APRIL 2011, but when he allegedly resumed broadcasting and agents returned this FEBRUARY 29th, he did not allow an inspection. He was also issued a notice of unlicensed operation in 2004.
