OPIE AND ANTHONY "spread the virus" with the addition of three more markets on top of the previously-announced WJFK (FREE FM 106.7 WJFK)/WASHINGTON addition: Sports WXYT-A/DETROIT adds the show for mornings, while Alternative WZNE (THE ZONE 94.1)/ROCHESTER (2-5p), and Rock WAZU/COLUMBUS (3-6p) will carry the show on a delayed-tape basis. The three new additions will start O&A on MONDAY (6/5), while WJFK launches the show on JUNE 26. WAZU previously carried the show in its earlier WESTWOOD ONE syndication incarnation before the team was removed from the air over the "SEX FOR SAM" incident.
At WXYT, O&A replace JOHN LUND and SCOTT "THE GATOR" ANDERSON in mornings. LUND has reportedly left the station, while ANDERSON will move to a new shift, which LANSINGSPORTSRAGE.COM reports will be 1-4p paired with DAN WETZEL. "THE SPORTS INFERNO" moves up an hour to 9a-1p and "THE BIG SHOW" drops an hour to run 4-7p to make room.
