Veteran programmer and air talent KERRY COLLINS has decided to hang up the headphones to take a position outside of radio with his family's business UNITED OFFICE FURNITURE.
COLLINS' career spans close to 20 years in the CONNECTICUT and RHODE ISLAND area and he is best-known for his decade of service at WKCI (KC101)/NEW HAVEN where he started as a board-op in 1995, and eventually rose to APD/MD prior to leaving for PROVIDENCE where he worked at WWKX and WPRO. KERRY also did a brief sting on the weekends at WBLI/NASSAU-SUFFOLK, NY; and signed off for his final show at WTIC/HARTFORD last THURSDAY (3/29) where he has worked since 2010.
COLLINS tells ALL ACCESS, "Now that I'm out, I'd like to share a juicy, behind the scenes story from my time at KC101/RADIO TOWERS PARK! There was this one time a walked in on... I'M KIDDING!!! Seriously, thank you to all who I've met and worked with in my radio career, especially the ones who took a chance on me when I was a 16 year-old kid. My new goal is to furnish every radio station in CONNECTICUT with furniture from UNITED OFFICE FURNITURE!"
KERRY COLLINS (a.k.a "MICHAEL IEZZI") will also continue to serve the community in his home-town of HAMDEN, CT where he was previously elected to the legislative council, and has now moved to the HAMDEN FIRE COMMISSION.
Send your best wishes to him at mwiezzi@gmail.com, on TWITTER @DJKerryCollins, and you can select your new office furnishings at WWW.UNITEDOFFICEFURNITURE.COM.
