Two Florida FM Pirates Fined By FCC

The FCC has issued fines to two alleged pirate broadcasters in FLORIDA. The Commission hit ROBENS CHERIZA with a $20,000 fine for operating a pirate on 107.3 FM in WEST PALM BEACH and fined ROBENSON THERMITUS $10,000 for running an unlicensed station at 98.7 FM in IMAIM.
In addition, the Commission fined former licensee BEACON BROADCASTING, INC. $8,000 for missing issues/programs lists in the public file of WGRP-A, WEXC, and studio-transmitter link WWQW238/GREENVILLE, PA as well as operating WGRP with excessive power at night and running the STL off frequency. WGRP was sold to VILKIE COMMUNICATIONS and WEXC to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION after the death of BEACON principal HAROLD GLUNT.
And the Commission has issued Notices of Unlicensed Operation to several concerns. Receiving notices from the Commission were EPI LIMITED PARTNERSHIP (1680 AM, FULLERTON, CA); IVAN ANGELES (91.9 FM, PASSAIC, NJ); ANTONIO SANCHEZ (107.7 FM, PASSAIC, NJ); JAMES L. COLLINS (107.3 FM, DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA); JOHN CHATFIELD (95.3 FM, BOULDER, CO); MARIA SANTANA (95.3 FM, PASSAIC, NJ); DOMINGO PEREZ and ALEX PEREZ (99.9 FM, PASSAIC, NJ); PRINCETON EQUITIES, LLC (106.9 FM, BROOKLYN, NY); and HARRY MOWEN (106.9 FM, BRONX, NY).
