Report: WFDD Hires WUSF's Tom Dollenmayer As Station Manager

The WINSTON SALEM-JOURNAL is reporting that UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA noncommercial WUSF and secondary PBS affiliate WUSF-TV/TAMPA and Classical WSMR/SARASOTA Station Manager TOM DOLLENMAYER is joining WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY noncommercial WFDD/WINSTON-SALEM, NC as Station Manager.

WFDD's MOLLY DAVIS told the JOURNAL that DOLLENMAYER's new position is a "separate role from General Manager.... Once TOM is in place and has time to settle in and review the current station structure, then he can -- with the assistance of WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY administration -- make a decision about whether or not a general manager should be hired."  

GM DENISE FRANKLIN exited the station last week (NET NEWS 3/29).
