Music industry vet ALAN MINTZ joins STARBUCKS ENTERTAINMENT as VP/Content Development, overseeing the coffee retail giant's entertainment ventures. Concurrently, STARBUCKS ENTERTAINMENT will relocate from SEATTLE to new offices in SANTA MONICA on JUNE 12th.
In addition to managing HERBIE HANCOCK, MINTZ also previously served as SVP of EPIC RECORDS for four years. He will help STARBUCKS to build on its previous successes in music. In 2004, STARBUCKS and its HEAR MUSIC chain sold 1 out of 4 copies of the Grammy-winning RAY CHARLES album "Genius Loves Company," which it co-released with CONCORD RECORDS.
